FLOW CYTOMETRY DEPARTMENT
Flow cytometry is a multiparametric method with great dynamics, both in terms of the range of applications and the quality they offer. It is an automated method of analyzing the physicochemical characteristics of cells and particles, based on scattering and fluorescence.
The Flow Cytometry department of the “Analysis” Laboratory makes full use of the potential of the method in the prognosis, diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. The scope of the method is large and includes most medical specialties with prominent ones in Hematology and Immunology.
In recent years, the contribution of flow cytometry in the field of Transplantation is considered valuable. Pulmonology and Pediatrics often use its immunological diagnostic value in daily clinical practice.
